Need more information on a poultry disease? Search back issues of AAAP’s Avian Diseases journal

Looking to make decades of poultry research more accessible to the industry, the American Association of Avian Pathologists (AAAP) has a new online feature in place for members and non-members to purchase print copies of its popular journal, Avian Diseases.

“It’s been said that if you want to see the future, you must first consult the past,” says Suzanne Dougherty, DVM, executive vice president for AAAP. “Our rich archive of science-based information can be invaluable for understanding current and future challenges in poultry production.”

Printed editions of Avian Diseases going back to 2016 are available and may be purchased by members and non-members on the AAAP website.  The price for each issue varies with the number of articles and pages.

Decades of research

Digital copies of all editions dating back to 2002 may be searched and accessed by members and non-members directly from the publisher’s website. Digital copies are free to AAAP members. Non-members may purchase digital copies of individual articles or entire issues.

For content published between 1957 and 2020, members and non-members can search for and preview specific articles abstracts from Avian Diseases at JSTOR, a service that provides access to more than 12 million journal articles, books and images in 75 disciplines. AAAP members have free access to the journal at JSTOR.

Avian Diseases is published four times a year (March, June, September and December) and contains full papers, research notes, and case reports related to the field of avian diseases.
