Enviro Tech introduces PD2 Litter Treatment — a peracetic acid-based, alkaline granular product designed for poultry litter management. When applied directly to the litter, PD2 activates by using existing barn moisture, delivering protection that integrates seamlessly with existing litter management practices.
“Every flock begins on litter, and what’s in that litter impacts how birds finish,” said K. PD2 impacts performance
Field trials in research- and commercial-farm settings demonstrate that PD2 delivers measurable improvements in key performance metrics — including bird weight, feed conversion and mortality — helping producers protect their bottom line.
Performance advantages include:
- Pathogen reduction: Targets harmful pathogens and reduces bacteria such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Listeria, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Pseudomonas on hard surfaces.
- Virus control: Effective against viruses, including avian influenza A virus and infectious laryngotracheitis virus, on hard surfaces.
- Alkaline advantage: PD2’s alkaline formulation works synergistically with the existing litter alkaline pH, unlike acidic ammonia treatments.
- Easy-to-apply granules: Uses same application equipment as other granular litter amendments.
- Flexible application: Rates of 40 to 80 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
Packaging options include 40-pound sacks, 500-pound drum sacks and 2,200-pound super sacks to support a range of operating sizes and application methods.
